Mini Rebounder Trampoline

I purchased this product because I was interested in buying a mini trampoline that didn''t require any crazy assembly. The high reviews and many positive comments about this product made me feel confident about buying this.

The trampoline was easy to assemble, just as the comments said simply screw on the legs and you''re ready to go.

When I first tested it out, I was satisfied with the bounce. However, not even 24 hours later, while using this product, one of the springs broke! The product is advertised as being able to manage with weights up to 220 lbs. I range between 145 150 lbs!

I was a little daunted at first but it''s just one spring right? Wrong. Not even 3 days after that, another spring blew off.

I have purchased trampolines in the past and I have never had one where a spring blew off on the first day (it usually takes months before wear shows). I''m not sure if the product I got was faulty or if the product itself is just of poor quality.

I''m writing this review in case there are others interested in purchasing this product as I was due to the positive reviews. Due to this experience, I am definitely not going to purchase any more PURE FUN trampolines.

This was perhaps the tenth mini-trampoline I have purchased for my home. In the past I used them for exercise but eventually found I got a better work-out from a treadmill. However, my children love jumping on these and will do so for possibly an hour a day each. I have purchased these from Sears, Academy Sports, other sporting good stores under various names, including Weider, and in various sizes from 36-48" diameter. The common ground these share is that they all break. Maybe after one month, and maybe after four, but generally the nylon straps that attach the springs to the frame begin to snap and once it starts to happen the trampoline becomes rapidly unusable. No retailers now carry these locally so I ordered the pure fun one listed here. It lasted less than two months, but this one is different. Instead of breaking at the nylon strap, this one has springs breaking apart at high velocity and flying through the air. My son had a cut on his shin from this happening. The potential for energy expenditure is so great with this sort of device and the footprint is so small that we want to continue to have one for our children. We are tired of accumulating useless pieces of metal from the many frames we have discarded and are now awaiting the arrival of a very expensive Bellicon model that promises to be highly durable with warranties on the parts and replaceable straps. My children are 90# and 150#. I imagine a 30# child might jump on this trampoline for a long time without breakage but I''m afraid that a spring that breaks before the strap holding it in place is very poor quality indeed.

I don''t normaly right reviews on products I''ve purchased but this item has got me so upset that I''m writing one.

I''m a 30 year old guy and I''ve been through many trampolines since I was a kid, so I kind of know what I''m talking about. Most of them that I''ve had have been pretty decent, except for the cheap strap ones, this one is spring based. This trampoline caught my interest because it said it was 44'' as opposed to the 38'' trampolines which I had always bought in the past. And it was a little pricy so I figured it would be good quality.

First off the shipping took 2 1/2 weeks, that''s not a biggie tho, I can deal with that. When I finally got it, it was really easy to put together, I just screwed the legs into place and I had it set up in a couple min. I started jumping on it and for some reason it didn''t have the type of bounce I was expecting, and it sounded real squeaky, it wasn''t as bad as the cheap strap trampolines but it didn''t feel like it had the same bounce as a normal 38'' trampoline. It did have a little more space to jump around, so I didn''t mind too much I guess.

Now the item description says it has a 220lb weight capacity, that''s no prob for me I''m only 165 maybe 170lbs, so I didn''t worry too much about the springs breaking or the canvas ripping, which is eventually what happens to all mini-trampolines after using them for awhile. And I figured this one would last longer since it cost more and was larger than any other trampoline I had had. I was wrong! In less than a month of using it a spring busted off while I was jumping on it, the spring went flying across my room and hit my wall chipping some paint off! I jumped right off, I couldn''t belive it! I only used it maybe 30 min a day. I''ve used other trampolines in the past, while weighing the same, and they sometimes take years to do the same amount of wear and tear that I did on this trampoline in a month.

Needless to say I''m very dissapointed with this product as it did not meet up to any of my expectations. This might be good for a 2 year old, but I truly believe the springs on this trampoline are cheaply made. I can''t say anything about the Pure Fun 38-inch Trampoline because I''ve never used it. But judging by how much I dislike this product I don''t think I''ll be buying any other type of trampoline from this manufacturer any time soon. I feel robbed!

Purchased the trampoline for my kids (7 and 12) and for me. After reading reviews of different trampolines, I purchased this one because it appeared to be big enough without being too big, sturdy and easy to assemble. It''s a perfect size, very sturdy, and the only assembly was to attach the legs. My kids love jumping on it, and I love exercising on it; I have joint problems,so it''s hard for me to run on hard surfaces.

I bought this to use with the Walk it Out Wii game, and I''m very impressed with it so far. Very easy to assemble as all you have to do is screw on the legs. At only $2 more than the 38" version, this was a no brainer. P90X Chin-up Max - Pull up Assist Band

Update 9/25/11 So, it''s been a couple weeks since my review of this and I wanted to update and say how thrilled I am that I got the chin up max. I just finished up week 6 so today was Legs & Back. I can now do 7 chinups, 4 wide pullups and 3 close grip pullups before having to switch to assisted ones. I always had trouble with the close grip pullups and the chair. For some reason I had nerve pain in my forearm so even with the chair, I would only do 5 or 6. I don''t have that problem any more. I think the biggest benefit of the chin up max is that your form is the same as doing them unassisted which helps with more gains in strength. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

I''ve done P90X a few times over the years and was never able to do an unassisted pullup. I''m female so not a lot of upper body strength. I''ve always used the chair but didn''t see much improvement. I could do chinups but pullups were just too hard. I started a new round recently and found this assist band online at the end of week 1. I ordered it directly from teambeachbody and got it during week 2. I changed my workouts around so that I could use it that week for chest & back. First thing I noticed was how much harder it was using this and how much more sore I was the next day. But, my form seems to be closer to what a real pullup/chinup would be without the chair. I only got to use this for 2 weeks before I got to the recovery week. This week was the start of phase 2 and I had back & biceps 2 days ago. I didn''t think I''d be able to do any pullups yet but I thought I''d try before using the assist. Much to my surprise, I could do 2 of them unassisted! I then did another 10 assisted. The product quality itself also seems pretty good. I''m not that heavy, under 130#, and it feels very secure. The first time I used it I had a little trouble with swinging forward but I got used to it quickly, you put your other foot on top of the one in the strap and that helps a little. The only thing I didn''t like is the rubbing against my leg and knee but I got used to that also. Other than that, I highly recommend it.

I have been doing P90X consistently since November of 2010. I have very little upper body strength even after 3 rounds of the program. I have been using a chair to "assist" with my pull ups since day 1. I saw on the P90X2 that they were using this contraption and so I googled it and it brought me here. I decided to buy it. Delivered last night and I did Legs/Back using it. I am going to tell you right now if you are ''on the fence'' about buying this GET OFF THE FENCE. This beautiful object has changed my pull up game FOREVER. I worked much harder last night doing my pull ups then ever before and I know I wasn''t cheating. After a YEAR of doing P90X I was finally working my back properly while doing pull ups. No accidental "leg cheatin" all pull ups, clean, with good form.

The trick to this is the adjustable strap. The lower you adjust it the harder you work, the higher the less you work. This allows a person to progress over time to doing full, unassisted pull ups.

I love this product ... LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I bought this thing thinking it was going to be my main piece of assistant equipment, I was wrong. I do construction for a living and all I use is one of my 2ft ladders to help me with my pull ups and chin ups. I love this design but i hate the resistance on it. I am a big guy. I''m about 6''3" and weight 230lbs. this thing felt like it was going to snap when i got on it. it did not releive any of my weight. this is not for big people at all.

Let me begin by saying that I am horrible at pull-ups! When I started P90X I used a chair to help assist me with them, but I just wasn''t feeling like I was getting a full range of motion. So I decided to buy this product. I have not regretted it one bit!

It helps with pull-ups without over compensating. I am able to do pull-ups so I don''t feel like a wimp, but it doesn''t help too much that I don''t feel like I''m getting a workout.

Highly recommend this product!

Altus Athletic Home Gym with DVD

I''m looking at it right now, hanging on the door. One cord gone all wobbly and crooked. The little rubber bands are sticking out of the yellow threads. They quietly snapped at some point. It was a good workout while it lasted. I haven''t been able to find any replacement ''resistance bands'' available on the ''net. The metal and plastic parts look quite durable. One reviewer complained about the mini-DVD. That reviewer might have tried to play it in his DVD player. I have a cheap player and it played the mini DVD just fine.

UPDATE: They replaced it via amazon for free. It''s now on my door again, and hopefully it will last longer. This time I''m not using the little clip they provided: I''m not sure what it does, and I''m suspicious that it caused the damage to the cord.

UPDATE: One of the bands broke again, after only a couple uses. We returned it for a partial refund. They withheld a certain amount (miscellaneous charges). I went and got a Weider X-Factor instead, which uses tubing instead of bungee cords. I will review the X-Factor after I use it awhile.

I use the altus for judo drills in my mma school and it works great. It has the exact same components as the body by jake version, but is about a forth of the price. We also use it for some twisting exercises as well as shoulder rehab and boxing drills. NO complaints on the price or the equipment. The judo drills put an extreme amount of work on these guys and we have 4 in active use and have laid about six of the bungees to rest. If you wanted to use as it''s intended I would defiantly buy this one instead of the more expensive version that body Jake and Weider make. As far as the dvd goes it generic but will get you started... The handle hooks are plastic but we haven''t had any break...

first off it should be said that you should have an arms lengths distance between the door and the wall, or you won''t get a full range of motion, and will not be able to do all the exercises. secondly I found that it offered limited resistance. i had no problem doing 12 bicep curls; to compare I often do 20 pound bicep curls. solely a product for beginners. If they tacked on 1-2 more sets of resistance bands it would be perfect.

This is my second one. The first one lasted 5 years with intermitant use. It is a very compact and versatile way to get exercise IF YOU WILL USE IT! I am satisfied with the device.

This is great for an in home workout and is very easy to set up and get working. I called Altus looking for replacement bands for the original one. However Altus does not sell replacement and recommended Amazon.com for a new unit with the best price. They were right. I am very happy with this purchasae and recommend this to anyone looking for a light workout for the room.

When I recieved this product and pulled it out of the package I was immediately disappointed because the image shows that the belts should cover your whole abdomen section. When I pulled it out of the bag it was at best 6 inches in width. I thought I would give it a try anyhow,but when I tried to stretch it to the proper fitting is actually lost its shape! the part I needed it to fit it actually stretched it and made the width thinner and then the velcrow woldnt even flatten out! It also would turn the edges outward, this product was so bad I threw it out within the hour I tried to use it because on top of all the other things it kept wanting to curl and roll so the amount it actually wanted to cover was about 4 inches or less!!! worst money spent ever! I do not reccommend it for anyone. I thought it would be good based on the review that was posted, it was nothing of the sort!

A little softer than many balls of this type, it does not have a thin clear shell layer on the outside as many do. Squishy, but seems well made. Has a rough texture, not smooth. So the texture helps with grabability, but washing it is problematic since it has very small crevaces that can fill with particles. The pump is just as useless as they all are. Just resign to blowing it up by mouth, but take it slow or you''ll pass out. ;)

Great ball, but the pump did not work. I tried and tried, but had to blow it up manually-which was not an easy task.

The quality seems good but the one I got is smaller than advertised. The red ball is supposed to be 65 cm (about 25.5 inches), but when fully inflated mine is only about 21.5 inches and therefore is too small for me.

I only know about the one I received, but if they all run small like this, then consider getting a size bigger than what you really want.

UPDATE: After calling ProSource I pumped the ball up a bit more so that it''s now 22.5 23 inches, but it is now very firm and still smaller than advertised.

This thing was barely 50cm when measured after being properly blown up. By the way blowing this thing up with my lungs was easier than with the pump it came with. It was returned immediately.

Altus Athletic 4-Inch Pro Web Lifting Belt (Large)

Just received this belt today and it looks pretty serviceable. I couldn''t find the sizing information anywhere, including the ALTUS website, which is just incredibly poor customer care. The large fits me quite well (I have a 35" waist) and leaves a very small gap in the inner belt but the velcro strap is really long and attaches in the back (or the front if you put the buckle in the back) and this is a bit unwieldy. It''s difficult to get good tightness. Decent belt for the price.

The sizing is on the tag for the belt. ALTUS says:

SMALL 22 28 in
