I feel a little silly/stupid by thinking that the ankle weights were 5lbs EACH. They are not. They are 5lbs all together; 2.5 lbs each ankle. I hope nobody else makes the same mistake I did! haha! Still, they are a tiny bit uncomfortable for me, but if I wear socks high enough they are a lot better. I''m glad to finally have found ankle weights that don''t jiggle around; they are quite snug compared to other ones. it''s very easy to take the sand bags out, and they are extremely quiet if you are planning to walk with them discretely. Overall very good for the price. Also, they are not that color in the picture. They are neon green.
These ankle weights are great! I have thin ankles and these adjust and fit just fine because of the velcro closures. I agree with the other reviews; the consumer must be careful to understand the specifics about the actual product and weights.

I ordered these because of the promise of flexibility of removing or adding weight. I wanted to start at 1 pound for each ankle, but these weights begin with 1.5 pounds. The description of the product did not clearly identify the "default" weight.
I''m using these as part of my physical therapy. At 1.5 pounds, I can''t walk around or wear these all day, as others have said they would do. I might have been able to do that if they were 1 pound. I''m ok with the fact that the minimum weight on each ankle is 1.5 pounds because the therapy will eventually require me to add a half pound to the ankle weight. The description should have included that little fact. Because the description was vague, I''m rating this 4 stars instead of 5.

I''m satisfied with the product, although the product description is inaccurate. It describes the product as having a "snug fit for all ankle sizes." I know I am slightly smaller than average (Female 5''3" 110 llbs), but I''m certainly not the smallest adult I''ve ever seen and these are about three inches too big (based upon the placement of the velcro). I have to fasten the ''hook'' side of the velcro to the material of the ankle weight, rather than the ''loop'' side of the velcro (as it is designed to be worn). This works fine, and I am able to use the product, but it doesn''t feel quite as secure as I would like. I''ll probably invest in some extra velcro strips so these will fit more snugly.

These are GREAT little weights, and they are really adjustable. You can start out with 1 1/2lbs. and work your way up to 5 lbs. I wear them everyday.

I purchased these weights for excercising my frozen shoulder. I needed a weight which could be wrapped around a PVC/bar made specifically for lifting and stretching. These have worked out great! I started with 11 1/2 lbs and have worked my way up to 2 lbs. The weight bars are easy to add or subtract, as needed. I am very happy with the quality and durability of this product and would recommend them. They were also less in price than others I considered. All in all, a good purchase!
