Augusta Sportswear Open Bottom Heavyweight Sweatpant. 5310

Augusta Sportswear Open Bottom Heavyweight Sweatpant, Black, MediumThese pants run true to size and are a nice material. The color is just like the picture. Very pleased

I still think that this product was mismarked. The actual pant was a beautiful material and cut, but was more a man''s medium, not a ladies.

I am pleased with the service from this company and the speed with which it was shipped to me. However, I bought four pairs and have to cut about 6 inches off the legs. No good lengths for petites.

I love the truly heavyweight material. The only "but" I found is the lack of pockets. The workmanship is very good.

Powerline PFID125X Flat Incline Decline Folding Bench

Powerline PFID125X Flat Incline Decline Folding BenchOthers have pointed out why this is a great bench, and some have pointed out some negatives. Here''s my take:

Pros:

Easily folds up in 2 quick steps to be only about 6 inches thick, and is easy to stand in a corner since it isn''t too heavy and has wheels on the rear support (the wheels don''t touch the floor when in use, only when folded and stood on end).

Sturdy and heavy enough to support a lot of weight.

Comes preassembled, just folded in the box.

Has 7 positions, from decline (-17 deg) to upright (85 deg), including flat (0 deg). I don''t know what others are talking about when they say it doesn''t go truly flat. My digital bubble level doesn''t lie.

Has a locking bar for the feet (yes, it''s a little too close to the floor, so that the feet don''t completely clear it, but it works).

Looks good with silver metal and black vinyl.

Decent price and free shipping with Amazon (at the time of this review).

Cons:

The cushions are stapled to the wood, which might come loose at some point, but as long as you''re just lying on it and not playing tug-of-war with it, it probably won''t be a major issue.

The styrofoam that cushioned the bench in the box left some adherent residue that I had to scrape off with my fingernails, but it did come off.

Conclusion:

After looking and looking for a versatile bench that was compact and easy to store away when not in use, I think this is as close to ideal as I''ll get. I''m happy I bought it.

I don''t have a lot of space for equipment, so I was looking for a bench that could fold up flat so I could lean it against the wall when not in use. I also didn''t want to feel like I was going to break it when I sat on it with weights. This is the only bench I could find that met my criteria. I was impressed by how sturdy it actually was. For the price I thinks it is pretty unbeatable, but I can understand some of the complaints about it. I am 6'' and have big feet and the foot pegs are a little awkward, but not unusable. A taller person might have more trouble, but I''m not going to fault the bench for that as it is impossible to design a one size fits all bench. I could also see someone taller complaining about the height, but I think this is also a consequence of being designed to fold flat. All in all, I couldn''t find anything that would work better so I have no cause for complaint. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is more casual with their work outs or without a lot of space for equipment.

If you arte looking for a pro workout and have more space this is not the right bench for you. But if you have limited space and want a good freeweight workout this is perfect. Easily folds for storage, easy to move. Works great with a pair of adjustable weight dumbells.

We had bought another bench but gave it back as the incline was important but it did not work out well. The placement of the tabs to place your feet on an incline are poorly placed, at least for me. I cannot fit my feet under them and so it is barely my toes that are underneath them. Quite a struggle while lifting on the incline but also when getting back up with weights in my hands. I am 6''4" so that may be part of the issue, but I have not had trouble with this on other benches like this. The tabs also protrude way too far out. I have hit my ankle more than once on them getting up off the bench. I have no idea the purpose of having them go out so far. It is also a much more uncomfortable bench than our previous one--lower to the ground than others, not as much padding, very narrow seat. One more problem, it comes made out of the box, but the arm holding up the back of the bench sits off center and sometimes moves partially off the standard.

As a positive, it has not fallen apart after a month''s use.

I agonized over buying this after reading all the reviews here. For the cost I don''t think I could have gotten a better bench. I''m 6''1'', 240lbs and this holds me just fine, no head hanging over the edge, no head hitting the ground, no feeling of tipping left or right. I use this for bench press, incline and decline press, plus all the stuff you can do with a normal flat bench. This is also great for shoulder press and skull crushers since it sits up straight like a chair.

The bench doesn''t quite lay perfectly flat, there''s a very slight decline to it when it''s supposed to be in the flat position, but it doesn''t bother me at all. The only way the not-flatness would throw me off is if I was lifting competitively and really needed everything perfect to get that extra rep in. At that point you''re going to want a professional bench anyways, and probably a dedicated one for each position.

The folding up aspect of this bench is perfect for me. It stores away nicely against the wall and sets up in seconds. I did have to use some wd-40 to get the pegs to slide in and out nicely, but once that was done it worked like a charm. It feels perfectly stable in each position and I''ve had no trouble with it slipping.

The leg pegs aren''t really useful at all. I had hopes of using the decline position for situps. The bench definitely declines far enough to work for that, but without an under-knee support those pegs are just uncomfortable. Similarly I don''t really use them for decline press, without that extra support they''re just distracting. It''s disappointing but you can''t have everything, I still think this bench is worth 5 stars.

I Gotcha Ready Golf Swing Warm-Up Trainer

FEEL GOLF Pro Ready Golf Warm Up SystemSnap this baby on your seven iron, and make ten easy swings in the three suggested placements on the shaft, and you are warmed up enough to tee off. It is not cheap, but cheaper than a visit to your doctor for muscles that were injured by not warming up. I like the Gotcha Ready.

I have purchased 2 (two) of the 13oz. swing weights from Amazon and they really get you loose when you use them before you start playing Golf. I have one in each golf bag that I use and all my fellow golfers want to use them to loosen up.

Excellent Product, and priced reasonable on Amazon.

Buy I Gotcha Ready Golf Swing Warm-Up Trainer Now

I was looking for a tool to help me warm up and this has turned out to be so much more than I expected. Swinging the club with this weight down at the head really helps you loosen up the muscles before you start hitting balls but more importantly it helps you get a feel for the tempo of the swing. I''m a relatively new player with a mid handicap and have just recently started working on my fundamentals. While you hear (intellectually) that you should have a pause at the top of your backswing as your hips start forward, it really helps to -feelthat pause as the heavy weight at the end of your club transitions from backswing to downswing. Now even when the weight -isn''ton the club I can feel that little pause as the hips start to turn and the swing sets itself up.

From a practical standpoint I worry about putting all that weight at the end of a graphite shaft so I use it on my longest iron. It''s simple to twist onto the shaft and grips both at the narrow neck and at the wider part up near the grip. I keep it in my golf bag but I use a cart so that extra weight isn''t really an issue.

The only gripe isn''t product related Amazon, in a rare mixup, sent me the wrong version of this device. I ordered the Men''s (blue) product and they sent me the Pro (black) version. The only difference is 11 ounces vs. 12 ounces so I wouldn''t expect a significant difference. If anything I''m flattered that Amazon thinks so highly of my golf game!

This is a must for anyone playing. I used my to warm up prior to hitting balls on the range and most certainly just prior to teeing off on the 1st hole. You can really feel the weight on the end of the club and also you will note how light your club feels after removing the wight. All in all a very good buy.

Pearl Izumi Men''s Select Tri Short

Pearl Izumi Men''s Select Tri Short, Large, BlackI purchased these a couple of weeks ago for a triathlon and since they were my first set of Tri-shorts, I wasn''t sure how much I would miss a regular pad during the bike ride. No worries though! These are wonderful. They are well built, good quality and supportive. The pad is just enough to not notice on the swim and run, yet still perfectly fine for the bike ride. Spend the money I am ordering 2 more pairs for training.

As usual, the shipping time was great and I appreciated the minimal packaging on this item.

I''m a huge fan of Pearl Izumi''s gear (I''ve got their gloves, cycling shorts, cool weather tights and cold weather Amphib tights), but this product fell a bit short for me.

I purchased the medium shorts, and everything fit great except the leg gripper portion. They felt kind of like tourniquets on my thighs. So, for those of you with slimmer legs and a 32-34 inch waist, I would recommend these. If you happen to have mutant thighs (which I evidently do), then I''d opt for another brand or style.

Buy Pearl Izumi Men''s Select Tri Short Now

I bought these twice ( and returned them ) because the leg grip at the bottom of the shorts is way too tight. I have fairly skinny legs (5''10" 160 lbs) and I am afraid to use them in a race because they feel like they might cut off my circulation. Maybe a size large would be better... except that they fit well everywhere else.

Bought these to train for a sprint triathlon. I ride upwards of 20 miles at a clip for my training and have found these to be very comfortable. The chamois that lines the inside provides enough padding for me although certainly not as much padding as what you''d find in dedicated cycling shorts. I don''t swim in them but likely will on the day of the Tri. Running, I find, is just as comfortable and the amount of padding doesn''t cause any issues for me. I''d recommend to a friend and/or buy again.

Paul Katami Burn & Build DVD

Paul Katami Burn & Build DVDI have worked out consistently for 33 years, I run, compete in triathlons and bike races. I love to cross train to lesson potential for injuries, so I consider myself at an advanced level. I love this workout. Its challenging, and Katami explains the workouts clearly and his cues are easy to follow. you will not regret ordering this. You can make it easier with no to light weights or make it harder by using heavier weights.

I''m an advanced exerciser, or I thought I was. I like Cathe, Michelle Dozois, Amy Bento, Ilaria, Anthony Diluglio, to name a few. I have several of Paul''s DVDs among them his newest kettlebell DVDs which are excellent. This one is a bootcamp style super-challenging workout. Using a kettlebell and high step is an extra perk for me because I love both. This really kicked my butt, but what makes this doable is Paul''s excellent cueing and calm friendliness. For me, a yelling, condescending instructor who doesn''t do the workout him or herself is a real turn-off. No worries here. Paul rocks! Also, the bonus ab section is fantastic.

Buy Paul Katami Burn & Build DVD Now

Be prepared for a long workout. It is over 1 hour and ten minutes.

This challenging and intense workout is a mix of aerobic movements, coupled with weight work. For weights, you need a single moderate (between light and medium) kettlebell or dumbbell. I used a kettlebell, and for certain moves, (clean and press type moves), I used a dumbbell.

If you want to make it easier, don''t use the high step platform; it''s easy to adapt the movements. I also made the workout easier by doing simpler versions of moves that were too complicated or strenuous, so the workout is doable. In addition, Paul Katami gives a few seconds break between each exercise group, so there''s time to breathe and recover. Moreover, one woman demonstrates easier dumbbell moves, while Paul Katami works with one man and one woman showing the kettlebell moves on the high step.

Mr. Katami explains clearly with excellent cueing.

This workout was tough in a great way. My background is running, doing Cathe and P90X and IMO this was harder. Yet somehow it was really fun and the time flew by. I started with kettlebells off and on a few years ago but got more serious recently. The step added a whole new dimension. Paul Katami is very likable and gives helpful pointers the whole way throughout. I can see this video could be modified for an intermediate ( lighter kettlebell, lower step), but definitely not for beginners. I know this is going to be one I keep going back to and look forward to all Mr. Katami''s kettlebell workouts. I do have his Kettlebell Drills and his Kombos DVDs and also highly recommend them. This DVD is an Advanced Gem!!!!

Paul Katami does an excellent job of instruction along with demos on proper form(which is crucial)thoughout the DVD. I have used high step and kettlebells in various workouts for the past two years, but never together....HOLY MOLY did it kick my butt! This is definitely an advanced workout and there is a woman doing modifications, but the mods are for intermediates, not beginners. I agree with another reviewer, Paul''s calm voice makes the intense workout go by easily. I had no desire to yell or curse back at the TV like I do with other instructors. I can''t say enough positive comments, just be warned...it will leave you weak in the knees and in a pool of sweat.

Life Fitness LifeCycle 9500HR Recumbent Exercise Bike

Life Fitness LifeCycle 9500HR Recumbent Exercise BikeThough I don''t own this, I use the same model at my gym. I prefer the Life Fitness because I get an excellent cardio workout. My resting heart rate was recently measured prior to surgery at 53 BPM with a textbook EKG.

The stepping motion is preferable because it fits my foot, which is a size 13. The other stair climber that rotates actual steps does not fit my foot and I have to climb at an angle, which can be uncomfortable at times.

The features are fine though I don''t measure my heart rate while using this fitness tool. I find the monitor location to be inconvenient. The other features primarily deal with some combination of stepping speed and time. The flights of stairs are measured in tenths until you hit 100 flights, then by single whole digits.

The only drawback that I can see is that it is not ergo-designed if you need to rest your arms as you climb. You need to place a towel on the bars in order to pad your arms. This can be a problem if you have a neuro dysfunction in your arm, such as ulnar nerve impingement (my problem). Otherwise, I would have given this 5/5 stars.

I should say that because I do not own this tool, I have no idea what the maintenance is like. How often does it break down, what are the common flaws, how expensive is it to maintain year over year? In other words, the cost of ownership should be considered before purchasing.

Live Well 360 Core Fitness Bag

Live Well 360 Core Fitness BagI''ve been using the Core for several months now and find it to be the real deal! The design is great, the style is cool, but what I appreciate most is the versatility. I use it for the gym, for travel, and sometimes for work. If you are looking for one bag for all things...This.Is.It!

The Core is awesome. If I had to pick a favorite feature, hands down, it''s the shoe compartment. Though I''ve actually found another use for it... to roll up my *Broga towel and gear after class. Also, the inside pocket setup is genius. If I were to total up the amount of minutes I''ve saved by not having to dig around for my iPod/keys/bling seriously, by now, I''ve tacked an extra week onto my life. You don''t think about stuff like that until you''ve had something better. And obvi, the most important reason it just looks rad. I think deep down we all like having the cool new thing that other people have never seen. I can''t tell you how many people have come up and asked me about my bag.

It travels the world with me and makes me feel like an Olympic athlete while I carry it. I''ve had mine for nearly two years and after using it every single day and taking it across North America a few times, it still looks brand new.

I practice bikram and use the extra space to put my wet clothes after class. It''s so nice to not have sweaty gym clothes mingling with everything else in your bag. I also use the bag as an airplane carry on and to hold all my produce on Sunday''s after a Farmer''s Market visit. See what I mean? Versatile and functional! I have had the bag for almost 2 years and it still looks brand new which makes the bag a steal! I really couldn''t recommend it more to anyone looking for a gym bag that can also serve multiple purposes.

Living Life: Devotional Exercise for Christians (DVD)

Living Life: Devotional Exercise for Christians
  • reduces stress and promotes relaxation
  • stengthens the body & renews the mind
  • increases flexibility
  • gentle exercise for beginners & beyond
  • develops a deeper, more intimate relationship with God

I purchased this DVD as an alternative to my WholyFit videos, which I love and do daily, but I wanted a little change in routine. This video is mostly low-impact or no-impact stretching. It is very slow-paced to the point of being boring. Even the narrator sounds bored instead of relaxing. If you are looking for a devotional exercise video, then I highly recommend any of the WholyFit videos. This video is not comparable. Its a good stretching routine, but that''s about it.

What a beautiful product to have at home. The guided practice is filled with vibrations of kindness and love ... which allow me to relax into each gentle pose. A few of my favorite parts include the unexpected dolphin sighting at the beginning (love that!), the "happy baby", and when the narrator takes me through "Being Still..." I found this DVD to resonate well for what I need --a gentle way to just be and care for my body and self.

Cando Cushioned Exercise Mats - 26" x 72" x .6" - 5 Colors

Fabrication Enterprises Cando Exercise Mat - 24 x 72 x 0.6 inches - Closed Cell Foam - BlueThe mat is supposed to be 26 x 72 inches, just what I was looking for since I want to work out on the concrete patio outside. Unfortunately when I received the mat it was obviously smaller than advertised. It was actually 22 x 63.5". I played phone tag with Isokinetics for 2 or 3 days before I could talk to anyone about it, but they made it right.

The mat doesn''t appear at all to be defective. It has molded in ridges and a smooth border all the way around. Isokinetics offered to exchange it but couldn''t guarantee that the replacement would be the proper dimensions, probably because (I''m guessing) it ships directly from the manufacturer. The thickness is about right and it does cushion adequately on concrete. Overall I would give 5 stars to Isokinetics for customer service and 1 star to Cando for a misleading product description. It looks to be a good mat if you don''t mind the smaller size.

I wanted a good mat for stretching and ab work. I always end up bruising my ankles and spine if I use my yoga mat, or even if I put down blankets on the floor. I hung the mat up for a couple days, spritzed it with Febreeze, and now it''s safe to touch without my skin smelling icky.

(For those reviewers who think it''s a problem with Cando''s product that it comes smelling funky, they should realize that this always happens with any foam product that''s sealed up check out other foam mat reviews, or memory foam bed toppers, etc, for reference. It''s just the nature of the beast.)

Anyhow. The mat is nice and long, and brilliantly cushy the only downside is that it''s so nice, I''m perpetually tempted to just give up with stretching and take a nap on it.

Soybu Women''s Up Tempo Tank TopI must first say that I love this brand for it''s comfort, fit and quality. I own two of these tops in different fabrics and they are extremely comfortable and figure flattering. I''m a petite mother of three, wear a (32C) size 2 or 4 depending on brand and the size small fits perfectly, it also makes by abs look much better than they should after three pregnancies. It''s great for a trip to the park with the kids or a workout because it doesn''t pinch the scapula area at all, yet it is very supportive in the chest.

Buy this tank and you will not be disappointed.

This top rocks! I originally bought it thinking it would be another tennis top, but I like it so much, I''ve been just wearing it casually with jeans or shorts. It''s so flattering on and the fabric is amazing. I did have to go up a size. I normally wear a M and had to exchange for a L.

I have never tried this brand before so was taking a chance (b/c I like the cut of this top) and based my purchase mainly on the other reviews. I purchased 3 different styles, 2 in mediums, 1 in a small b/c I just didn''t know how they ran. I''m 5''2", 115-120lbs, B cup. I got the (S) in the Sangria/Storm and it is just absolutely GORgeous! I will definitely buy this brand again. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package at how it is sooo much nicer than what the pic is able to depict. The small does fit me and I''m anxious to get the (M) sizes to compare. The mateial is a medium-weight fabric. Not too heavy or thick for yoga/hot yoga but not too flimsy for the gym or an exercise class. I would recommend wearing a sports bra underneath for a higher impact class but for yoga, pilates this top is just perfect! I do disagree w/the review that it is too low-cut for any ''real'' exercise. I suppose a turtleneck would be the solution for that b/c I consider myself a modest person and don''t like to be exposed. I feel 110% comfortable in this top!!

Soybu top is very comfortable and easy to move in. Would highly recommend it. As far as fit, it seems true to size

It is a very pretty top, I really like the back. But it is too low cut for actual exercising, I had to keep pulling it up. I will have to wear it with something underneath that is higher cut. (I am only a "B" cup and I was getting some major cleavage showing when leaning over for exercises, NOT what I want when working out.) Also need something underneath it because, even with the shelf bra, that has no small liner cups, it is so THIN that nipples show through if it is cold at the gym. Could have been a great workout top, now I have to wear something under or over it.

I did like the length.

Stott Pilates Intense Sculpting Challenge DVD

Stott Pilates Intense Sculpting Challenge DVDThis DVD is a great 40 minute band workout for someone who practices intermediate to advanced pilates. Moira is very clear on what to do and what muscles you should be working and feeling it in. It is a great tool to have when I am away from home and my gym. The only thing I would do differently, it make it a little longer!

The one reviewer that said this is a great 42 minute workout obviously never watched it! It''s only 23 minutes. I would never have bought it if that''s all it was. I did find it challenging, tho.

As a certified Stott Pilates instructor, I look for ways to challenge my group classes as they span levels from "newbie" to advanced. This was very helpful in bridging some of those gaps.

A little disappointed in this workout. It really isn''t intense unless you are new to exercise. Should have done a little more research on the product.

Intense Sculpting (a 22-minute workout with new intermediate flex band exercises) was doable all the way through the first time. A level 3 type workout, all the exercises are done standing, and many are combination moves where you have to concentrate on doing one thing with your upper body and another with your lower while engaging your core. The level of intensity and challenge is going to depend a lot on your attention to executing the moves with perfect form and on the resistance of the band. I combined Intense Sculpting with a short stability ball workout for an excellent exercise session which I felt the entire day. Very highly recommend this as an add-on workout.

CW-X Conditioning Wear Men''s Stabilyx Ventilator Shorts

CW-X Men''s Stabilyx Ventilator ShortsI was hunting for a compression shorts that will provide support to my lower back, as I have disc prolapse on 3 of the discs on my lower back (L3/L4, L4/L5, L5/S1).

I have been doing 5 to 10 miles runs and I am training to do beyond that mileage, but I wanted something to support my lower back so that my back would not hurt with the longer run and longer exposure to pressure.

CW-X is the only compression shorts that is targeting the lower back and it does so effectively. I enjoy my longer runs much better and it is enabling me to do longer runs. By the way it not only support the lower back but also the core muscles effectively.

Highly recommended.

I really like these shorts. They provide compression support and are quality made. Need to make sure you order the correct size. Look for the sizing chart before ordering. The length of the shorts run a little long. I didn''t have a problem, but if you are short legged between your waist and knees you may have a problem. The price was great and I would recommend these shorts.

I bought these after a hip injury for stability. They are not too hot and I live in Florida. Worked well for stability and allowed me to continue running after recovering.

I like the breathability of these shorts. Helps on the long summer runs. They hold tight on the quads and hamstrings and give support for the hips and even the lower back and stomach. Good compression short.

I have the non-ventilator version as well as these and the little holes actually make a BIG difference. I wish they had a zipper pocket in the lower back area for a key/hotel key, but this is the third CW-X item I own and I trust the brand.

Black Mountain Products Resistance Band Set with Door Anchor

Black Mountain Products Resistance Band Set with Door Anchor, Ankle Strap, Exercise Chart, and Resistance Band Carrying CaseI bought these bands to use with Tony Horton''s 10-Minute Trainer. For the most part these are great until you have to do a military press or an overhead tricep curl. These exercises require you to stand on the middle of the band and push all the way up until your arms are fully extended. For these exercises, the bands are too short for me and I worry how long they''ll last if I keep stretching them that far. I''m 6''0" tall, so someone shorter might not have any problem. If you''re 6'' or taller, I would find something longer because these will disappoint. The B-Line bands used by Tony Horton for P90x and his other videos appear to be roughly twice as long as these.

These are good quality bands though. The grommets are strong and the clips are metal and thus, less prone to breaking. The door attachment and ankle accessory work fine. The "instruction manual" is a little sparse and simplistic but you can''t expect too much there. Suspiciously, I noticed that none of the exercises show the bands being lifted any higher than shoulder length.

EDIT: I increased my review to a 4 star after using the bands a while longer and speaking to their customer service. I also got a free orange band for my call. According to customer service the bands can actually stretch safely up to 5 times their original size (their max stretch is about 40 ft. although this makes them unusable). After 3 weeks of overhead use they still show no signs of wear or tear.

EDIT: Still on the fence about these. After 6 weeks of use I had to get the red band replaced after seeing several tears appear. Now I''m seeing tears in the black band and one tear in the new red band already. As far as I know I''m not using them inappropriately but I may have to go ahead and return the whole set.

I love this set of exercise bands. I purchased them on a recommendation from my personal trainer for use when I stay at hotels without a full gym. Any hotel room with a door will allow me to do 90% of the exercises I normally do. All these bands roll up into a nice bag for travel and the whole kit is fairly lightweight.

I think the lighter gauge bands are pretty useless for strength training unless you are a petite woman, child, or doing some rehabilitative work. I''m not exactly sure who uses a 2lb band. Maybe for stretching? But the red and black bands are heavier gauge and excellent for male strength training.

There are a lot of reviews here on Amazon complaining that the bands eventually wear-out or break. They are supposed to. They stretch and, after repeated stretching, yes, they will wear out. Good. That means you are using them and your muscles are getting a workout. Quit whining. Buy a few more replacement bands. Wear them out too.

The company that makes these bands appears pretty solid. In the package I received, there was a coupon for a free extra orange band which was even a heavier gauge than the black band. I''m looking forward to receiving it, and I think the company offering it at no charge was a very nice touch.

First off, I am 24 y/o, 190lbs, 6''1". Owned the product for well over a month now and I''m using it regularly 3-5 times a week. I messed my shoulder up pretty good at work and so I had to see a physical therapist for a month. After the 6 meetings with my PT, I decided to buy these resistance bands after seeing how EVERYTHING I could do at the PT, I could easily perform at home for free. These bands really impressed me, although my expectations were low since I just needed them to do a few simple exercises for my shoulders. I''ve been working out with weights since I went to college, but these bands allow me to work out my muscles in many different angles that I couldn''t accomplish with weights at home, and it does it in a much safer way. Once I get my shoulder back to where I want it, I''ll probably return to my weights, but until then these will be perfect for my rehab.

So in short-

The Good: cheaper/safer than weights, great for rehabing, endless exercises you can perform with them, door mount is awesome (the ankle mount/handles included aren''t very useful in my opinion)

The Bad: I''m not a fan of having to combine the bands to increase resistance, only 1 set of handles for all bands

I doubt you''ll find a better set of resistance bands for the price so go for it!

A simple written review in this case did not seem adequate, so I uploaded a video. If I''m going to strongly recommend not purchasing a particular product, I''d better provide evidence of its poor quality. Take a look and then, please, for your own safety... buy something else.

These things are more effective and better made than I expected. As a pastor in my late 50''s, I don''t get a lot of exercise, nor do I have a lot of extra time or money. I wanted something small and inexpensive not a weight machine that I would have to set up in the basement. My wife suggested exercise bands. After a quick review, I determined that 1) I needed a complete set to have enough for a good workout, 2) they had to me made well (many reviews complained about weak stitching and other failures). BMP''s "new and improved" set (that included a Door Anchor which I use in about half the exercises I do) seemed like the best choice.

As a former engineer, I look closely at design, workmanship and quality of materials. I have not seen other brands up close, but I am very impressed with this set from BMP. The straps connecting the handles to the bands are made of heavy "ballistic nylon", with an extra piece added to double the thickness where the heavy duty metal grommet is located. To keep the bands from pulling through the grommet, they appear to have something like a large ball-shaped bead over the tubing with a tough rubber sleeve over that a very nice design. The handles have a somewhat thin, but comfortable padding. The clips that attach the bands to the handle are heavy-duty and easy to clip with a single motion.

Before my first workout, I tried each exercise to determine what band combination I would need. I then ordered my workout to somewhat minimize the number of band changes -but I was surprised how quickly I could change them out. I was also pleased with the variety and quality of the exercises I thought bands would be a poor substitute for machines and free weights, but in many ways I find bands to be better especially compared to the kind of machines you can afford for home.

One of the things I found to be lacking with the BMP set was exercise instructions they only have six exercises. If they just printed one more double-sided piece of paper they could have added an additional 12 exercised. So I found a good small booklet "The Great Stretch Tubing Handbook" for $8.95.
