I like the cut and style of this muscle-T. It fit me perfectly for the size specified.

The cotton is not as fine as other makes, however, but it serves its purpose.

Crescendo Fitness Curve Sit Up Bench

Crescendo Fitness Curve Sit Up BenchI just received this bench and assembled it by myself for about less than 20 minutes. It is perfect for my purpose of using this bench: to do sit ups. I especially like the curve of the bench surface. It helps toning my back and add a little more challenge to the excersize.

Three things I should remind you if you want to buy it: first, it might not be suitable for tall people. I am petite (5''2") and when I do sit ups, my head can almost reach the floor when I lie down there.

Second, it seems not very study as you would like. Don''t get me wrong, the material and the construction are great, but there is one joint connection part of the bench was a little loose, maybe designed intentionally. Also, the bottom support bar could be slightly longer to make it stand more firmly on the floor. What I did to fix it is to put two 5 pound dumbbells under the bench. Now it is heavier and feels sturdier.

Third, a trivial thing is the cross bar under the bench could not really cross to be centered because the middle part is slightly larger than the hole. So I have to just leave it there, one end is longer than the other end. But it still functions well and doesn''t bother me much.

All in all, I like the bench and recommend it to people who want a curved bench.

I know that this item has gotten good as well as bad reviews and it was the good reviews that caused me to pick this one. We all know that bad news travels faster than good news but this is one great sit-up board. I was looking for one and this was the one that is curved and I had to try it. The quality of the materials is excellent. It''s very sturdy, solid and folds up like an ironing board for ease of storage. In fact, I keep mine with the ironing board. The price was great and delivery was awesome, very fast. Some have complained about the weight limits and being uncomfortable due to height. I''m 5''11" and have no problems with it''s size. It''s very comfortable. Weight?? well, I''m 158 lbs and really, speaking as someone that was 255 at one time, if you''re tipping the scales you need to get out of the house an go to the gym. I mean, again, it''s a great item but it can''t perform magic Trix.

I''m 6''4" and this is pretty much useless. The lack of adjustment for knee height is annoying and the bench is pretty short. It would be great if i were a foot shorter.

Almost ordered a $50 flat sit-up bench then saw this one for just $30 more. Only major complaint is that the front and rear leg bases are too narrow and the bench rocks side to side when doing alternating sit-ups too fast, slowed down my speed and the rocking stopped. Also, the leg pads may be a little uncomfortable for anyone who really needs the cushioning. Other than those two small gripes I''m happy with the bench. Putting it together was simple and quick, folding it up for storage is easy as well. Decent bench for ab and lower back workouts once you figure out how to utilize its features, had to search online and found another site that showed examples of all workouts available with this type of bench.

I received this bench like a month ago. The exercise is very effective and really feels in the mid and lower section. Perhaps this bench is very effective, is not for everyone. People with back problems may find this bench uncomfortable. I would liked a stronger frame because it''s a little unstable.

MIO 0018USBLK2 Drive+ Strapless Heart Rate Watch

MIO 0018USBLK2 Drive+ Strapless Heart Rate WatchOur son uses this watch to take his heart rate, and it works very well. He has tachycardia (fast heart beat) every once in awhile, and we like to know his heart rate when he has an episode. Even his cardiologist was impressed with how accurate this was. Plus, it looks cool for a teenager, has a great stopwatch feature and is tough. This is our second MIO for him. The first one only wore out after wearing it every day for 3 years the pool, sports, everywhere.

This is my second Mio Drive since 2008; the first one had a short after I replaced the battery. I first purchased it to train for a marathon. Its interval-timing feature for the run/walk timing works great. Getting a heart rate is very easy, even while running as long as you can keep your arms steady. I rest my wrist on my stomach while running to get a heart rate, works every time. The calorie count feature is a plus. In addition, to have fun take your heart rate during boring meetings at work. It is amazing how much your heart rate slows down when you go in to a temporary hibernation. My lowest meeting heart rate was 42 compared to resting heart rate of 48/50. I have nothing bad to say about this product other than be careful when replacing the battery. I also bought one for my son to keep time during soccer refereeing, he loves it.

Hi All,

This watch has all the features that you need: Stopwatch/timer, light, alarm, intro message and heart rate monitor.

Pros: Looks good, belt is interchangeable, no chest strap for HR, %of max HR for your age/wt,light for running at night, calorie counts, good for what you get in this price range, unisex

Cons: Can get scratched easily when you play sports, takes a while to get used to different functions, no instant HR so you have wait for about 5 seconds which sucks if you are running, not easy to get HR while running(due to finger moving and sweat on hands)

I would buy it again (was on sale), you have the facts-decision is yours.

Humility.

I got this watch because of the good reviews and was very excited to use it for running/spinning.

The problem is, I could only get a heart rate reading after 8-10 trials (I kept my fingers on the sensors for up to 10-15 seconds at a time!) I found myself spending more time trying to get a reading than actually paying attention to the spinning instructor.

It also gave crazy inaccurate readings at times. For instance, a lower heart rate when power walking than my resting heart rate.

I am returning the product.

I have owned two of these watches both died just after the warrenty period. The features are excellent for excercise and monitoring your heart rate, calories and times. To get the heart rate is difficult in cold dry weather sometimes that just doesn''t work. I have purchased a watch for my daughter and one for my wife and they incurred the same problems. Our watches have not been subjected to excessive moisture or abusive treatment. In my opinion, the quality is just not there. You should not have to replace a watch like this every 12 to 14 months. Try another brand I will.

Everlast 80-Pound Platinum Heavy Bag

Everlast 80-Pound Platinum Heavy BagIt''s a heavy bag filled with heavy mystery stuff. How can you go wrong.

The bag I received has four metal attachments for chains, rather than nylon straps. Chains were included and I actually prefer this arrangement; still I could see how someone planning on hanging the thing a certain way might be a mite upset.

This bag is far more dense at the bottom than top, so settling of the mystery stuff can be a problem. I noticed when, after beating at face level for a while, I decided a low punch. Several uncomfortable moments resulted.

This is a nice bag, it arrived in 2 business days and in good shape. The bag has a good feel, and the nevatear fabric seems like it will hold up well. All in all, I would give it five stars if it were the same bag that was described in Amazon''s add. However, it is not. The bag I received is not double ended and it does not have nylon straps at the top as you see in the picture. It''s still the most economical buy in heavy bags on Amazon, but I probably would have ordered a different bag had I known that I was getting a standard bag with chains on top and no bottom tie down provision.

For it''s price I''m surprised that this bag has last so well. I purchased it approximately a month ago and have used it nearly everyday. I used to for both boxing practice and lower it to practice some muay thai kicks.

Pros all in all an excellent bag, I doubt it will open or tear anytime soon. If it does just take out the duct taoe.

Cons Rock solid at the bottom, fluffy and soft at the top. I added a 10 lb plate to make it heavier at the top and placed my own stuffing (from a pillow) and placed it in the bag. If you purchase this, I do reccomend adding some rags inside and be careful if your going to make power punches to the bottom of the bag, that were all the sand accumulates and it feeles hard a rock so use hand wraps and gloves if possible.

Great price, but not what''s described *at all*

The description:

* Constructed from durable and long-lasting synthetic leather

* Specially blended filler provides resilient shock absorbency

* Double End attachment for greater resistance

* Adjustable chain to accommodate all size of users

* Redesigned with durable and safe webbing system

The reality:

* Constructed from vinyl canvas-like material

* Filler is rags ''n'' bags pretty much what you''ll find in any low end bag, so fine

* No double end attachment whatsoever

* Comes with a chain and hooks I guess it''s "adjustable," so fine

* No webbing, but stitched on triangular eyes for the standard s-hook attachment

I bought this for floorbag mobility and GnP stuff, so none of this bothers me at all except the fact that it''s canvas. Sliding around on canvas in shorts and short sleeves = carpet burn city. It''ll still work, but in retrospect I wish I would have spent a few more dollars for an actual synthetic leather bag.

Want Everlast 80-Pound Platinum Heavy Bag Discount?

Amazon is the best, I buy stuff from it all the time and I''m always happy with the product I recieve. They ship fast. I looked around for a while for a heavy bag that was around 70-80 pounds for the best deal and Amazon had it. I will always give 5 stars on price. This is a good heavy bag. It''s heavy enough to where it stays put for the most part, and it''s not too heavy to where it becomes a workout just moving the bag. I recommend good gloves when using this. Don''t go with the cheapest gloves you can find. If your going to spend $70+ on this, you may just as well spend a little bit on a good pair of gloves. Your hands will thank you.

Mindy Mylrea''s Super Cycle (indoor cycling DVD)

Mindy Mylrea''s Super CycleI just recently got a new spinning bike and a few workouts to go along with them. I opted to get this one because I have had some other workouts by Mindy in the past and liked them. Mindy is a very enthusiastic and professional instructor. I originally looked at getting some Spinervals DVD''s instead, but they are a lot more expensive and they just don''t seem to have the fun factor I was looking for.

I have done this workout twice now. The first time I skipped the last segment to shorten the workout to about 45 minutes. The next time I did the workout the whole way through. I burned 650 calories doing the complete program. This workout is fantastic! The setting is great. Mindy is solo and its set on a beach in California. Mindy really does it all throughout the hour. She varies the intensity, gives awesome mental imagery (at one point you have to pass a pack of elite riders), and really pushes you to give it your all. I find myself smiling and really having a lot of fun. At one point near the second half, she asks you to look at your settings and says "Would I be proud of you? Are you proud of you?"

I consider myself high intermediate / advanced and let me tell you, this workout is TOUGH, but in a good way. I can''t wait to do it again! I highly recommend this workout to anyone looking to get the most out of their spinning bike without the dread factor.

If you like spinning/indoor cycling this is a great DVD. Her first one, Cycle Challenge is a better one to begin with, although still very challenging. Mindy is not only a fit looking normal person but also not 20/30 years old. She has a great upbeat, encouraging coaching style that never is annoying. She doesn''t talk too much and the music works well with the workouts. She''s solo in this one which works well. The nice thing about having her"buddy" in the first dvd was that his pace was a little slower for folks just starting out. I have the LeMonde RevMaster Bike. Definitely reccomend that...with the cadence meter. Get a chest strap and monitor your heart rate...it''s the only way to spin safely, effectively and feel good at the same time. You wil SWEAT!!!!

This is a very well-done DVD. The workout is well-explained. Technically, it is very good. However, the background music is too loud which makes it very difficult to hear the instructional parts of the DVD. It is the only bad aspect of the DVD, but it is quite a negative feature. If I had a choice of this one and one without loud background music, I would choose the other one.

I''ve done a lot of other spinning videos and do like this one (after four or five times now) for a few important reasons: 1) Mindy is a personable spin leader who''s easy to listen to and gives cues well and 2) the dvd is a good workout and offers an easy way to do different versions, full, about an hour, or in varying segments. The scenery is pretty, and the little scenario clips are funny. On the negative side, I could do without the frequent use of the word, "Ya!," (which sounds like a kind of Canadian encouragment) but again she''s not annoying like too many other dvds divas I''ve watched. Thanks!

A lot of explaining before each work out, I think with one introduction would have been sufficient. The music is not motivating at all. I had to mute and play my own music...but it is a great work out if you play your own music

Kinetic Rock n Roll Trainer w/Road Resistance Unit

Kinetic by Kurt Rock and Roll Indoor Bicycle TrainerI''ve been riding the Rock & Roll for several months now to supplement my road riding. I was a little hesitant about the rocking feature initially. As it turns out, the default stiffness setting doesn''t move nearly as much as I was expecting. Of course, you can loosen the resistance for more motion, or really tighten it down for even less.

My main concern was longevity of my bike frame and I feel like having a little bit of give in the trainer will help prevent damage. I''m not small at 200lbs so a little give is a good thing.

The resistance unit itself is smooth and operates with a relatively little noise. Our house is very open and I ride directly below our bedroom. My wife has never been awakened by the trainer.

I chose to purchase the model with the additional flywheel. I use it when I''m doing consistent pace riding. If I want to do intervals I almost have to remove it to prevent tire slippage. Not a problem, since most people would prefer less flywheel effect for intervals anyway.

Summary:

This is a quality tool that will definitely help you pack on the training miles. The rock & roll feature is not crucial, but is a worthwhile feature if you have the extra money to spend.

Length:: 0:49 Mins

Ill start off by saying I am a beginner biker. I have ridden maybe 40 miles in the last two weeks and decided to get this trainer for rainy days because I can''t stand the treadmill. I have tried out a standard stationary trainer at a local shop and it was very stiff but still good. I got this yesterday, set it up.. which was very easy.. and was able to ride it with no issues. I don''t have any major noticeable bouncing or too much wobbling if you are riding correctly. It feels so smooth and fairly lifelike. My legs were burning pretty bad quickly riding it but I''m not sure if it was from working out or the difference from biking on the road vs a trainer. I have the stationary riser block but i think I''m going to return it and get the one that moves, i believe it will feel more natural with the light movement you get from this trainer.

the bad: We tried to put this on our carpet.. tired rubbed a black spot into it. bummer. Then i put it on the linoleum and after riding about 15 mins this morning i found another black spot, but smaller. grrr. Im kind of annoyed. I emailed kurt kinetic for suggestions. I can''t imagine the mat will help because it is foam and it would only take away a couple millimeters of clearance.. plus i don''t care to spend 60 on it. I might put down some contact paper with duct tape to cover the spot directly under the tire. It may have happened when i was riding standing up but still..they advertise this.

update: i got a very quick response from kurt kineticthey suggested to tighten the rear bolt and loosen the inside one. It raised it a touch and should alleviate the problem. This company seems really great.

update 2: its still sagging a little..there are marks on the floor and ive decided I dont want it in my dining room..carpeting wont work with it and i even tried to put a big rubber mat under the backside on the carpet to raise it but it didnt help. Ive decided to return it to rei where i bought it. I LOVE this thing and it took me a while to decide but i dont feel like i should be paying so much for an item i cant use where i want. I perfer riding outside anyway

I ended up buying the road machine by this company and its great. For my personal needs of wanting my bike higher..the road machine works better for me.

Videojust to give you a real perspective. Its pretty quiet actually. I do have to turn the tv up but its way doable.

Buy Kinetic Rock n Roll Trainer w/Road Resistance Unit Now

This is a great indoor trainer, worth the little extra for the rock and roll feel. Plus if you have a carbon frame, it''s a little less stressful on frame --IMO.

Very smooth feel when peddling.

Read Best Reviews of Kinetic Rock n Roll Trainer w/Road Resistance Unit Here

After a couple of months using this trainer I still am impressed with it''s stability, smoothness, quietness and how natural the fluid resistance feels. The addition of lateral and vertical motion makes longer rides much more interesting and comfortable. With the addition of the 12lb flywheel you almost feel like you''re on the road.

The build quality on this trainer is excellent with two exceptions. The resistance unit pivots on a loose fitting bolt and is adjusted with a knob backed by a rather light-weight coil spring. The pivot action is very wobbly and sloppy but I can''t say that this affects function. However, the spring is too insubstantial to keep the rather heavy unit against the adjustment knob so that moving the unit away from the tire must be done manually. Functionally these things are far from a deal breakers and not even worth half a star. But they are a head scratching bit of poor engineering in an otherwise stellar machine. Whether these issues have an impact on durability remains to be seen.

Bought this as a gift for my wife who wanted to continue to ride inside this past winter. She is very thrilled with it and found it very easy to use. I gave it a try and found that it does in fact give a fairly realistic ride and a great work out. Highly advice you purchase the front wheel holder as it improves the overall experience.

MOXY Socks Knee-High Black with Red and Grey Performance Deadlift APeX XFit Socks

MOXY Socks Knee-High Black with Red and Grey Performance Deadlift APeX XFit SocksI Crossfit so I ordered these to protect my shins from all the deadlift motions we do. They protect the shins well but are are kind of thick so they won''t pair well with tight shoes. I thought the red part was extra thick from the picture but it is the same as the black. I hesitated to give it 4 out of 5 since a adidas Men''s Metro Soccer Sock would probably provide enough protection for less than half the price ($6.99 vs $16.95). Basically, I''m glad to have them but won''t pay the Moxy Socks premium again.

I''ve started heavy deadlifting in my workouts and after 1 workout, it was apparent that sweat pants alone would not provide enough padding: the bar was leaving painful red marks on my legs. I bought a few pair of soccer socks but still wanted more padding. Discovered the MOXY brand and it''s exactly what I need: lots on padding on the front shin, super soft, go all the way up over the knee cap (my soccer socks don''t) -I couldn''t be happier. Will be ordering more pairs soon. A++.

CW-X Women''s CW-X 3/4 Stabilyx Tight

CW-X Women''s Stabilyx 3/4 Running Tights,Black/Periwinkle,X-SmallIf you''re going to be logging long miles (ie marathon training) then these tights will be a very useful foundation piece for your running wardrobe.

The 3/4 length makes them versatile, I have comfortably run in them in weather ranging from 30-60 degrees F. I usually toss a pair of running shorts on over these, but only because I run along the road and prefer having a bit more coverage over my posterior. There is no problem with chafing at all as long as you remember to actually tie the waist, otherwise they may slip down slightly.

My legs feel like they are getting better circulation with the compression from these tights, and the firm support across the abs and lower back is a reminder to watch my posture and form. I''ve been able to run 4 or 5 miles the day after doing a leg workout, and the nagging soreness went away during my warmup. I tend to sit around the house in these for at least half an hour after cool down, and stretch and enjoy the way these feel.

These are too expensive for me to justify more than one pair, so I rinse mine out in the shower with me, and they are dry by the next morning. I toss them in the washer about once a week (after 4 or 5 runs), and they''re holding up beautifully.

I was skeptical about purchasing these, but had heard enough positive reviews that I tried them, and I have been very happy with that choice.

Updated March 2011: My tights are still holding up almost two years later, and I''ve added the CW-X Insulator Stabilyx to the winter rotation. I love my CW-X tights!

These provide amazing support. However, the length of your thigh plays a big role in how they fit because of the added support system. According to my personal experience I would recommend LARGE only if you normally wear TALL clothing, MEDIUM for AVERAGE, and SMALL for PETITE.

this was the first pair of cw-x tights that i got. after a couple of weeks i ordered a second one, since i wanted to wear them every day!!! they are more on the pricey side, at least for me, but i''ve found them totally worth it. i''m training for a marathon this year, so i run a lot during the week and on the weekends, and i alternate between my two pairs. they are holding up nicely and they really provide great support. i notice that i feel way more safe and supported running in these than running with running shorts. i''ve even improved my marks! anyway, as the weather gets warmer, i find them a bit too warm. but i would recommend them without any doubt to anyone who is or is thinking to get serious about running. it''s a great investment. along with my running shoes i think this is the second most important item in my running gear.

I took up running this year, and these tights have made the difference between staying in the running program or returning to the state of "couch potato"--I used to weigh 80 lbs more than I do now, and after numerous abdominal surgeries, my abdomen and skin tend to be loose and jiggly (sorry, tmi, I know, but it explains why I love these tights so much!) The core support panel really holds everything in place, and because my core strength is not yet where I want it, these tights support me and keep me going until I do get my abdominal strength back. Everything is held ''in'' and once you get used to the snug fit, you won''t want to run in anything else. I love these tights!

XMark XM-4419 FID Flat Incline Decline Weight Bench

XMark XM-4419 FID Flat Incline Decline Weight Bench with Leg Extension and Preacher CurlI finally found the perfect bench. I''ve been searching stores and online for a few months now. I kept coming across this bench but held off because it had zero reviews. Here is my opinion on the bench itself.

Pros-

It is well built. Welded solid metal pieces. It has Thick soft seating, comfortable for the lighter or heavier build (perfect for both my husband and I) Flat Incline Decline. The bench goes every which way you need it to be from completely erect to full on decline. It is super easy to position.

The preacher bar is easily removed by a clip if you prefer to tuck it away when doing leg work.

The leg extension holds plate weights. It has a normal size pole, but has a thicker connection for olympic size weights that may have a bigger hole on the plate itself. Also comes with an olympic size clip to hold them in place. There is plenty of room under the bench if you need to store your plate weights flat on the floor.

Very easy to assemble. I (female) put together this bench by myself except for one piece which i had someone help me with (2 second job where my neighbor held one piece for me while i connected the other) Note* a ratchet set made the job go much faster.

Price.. when i did my shopping around, i found this bench was more affordable than other benches that had more and whistles but they were of less quality. When i weighed those pro''s and cons i took my chance on this bench because of the said quality of the product, and i was not in the least bit disappointed.

Consit did not come with a normal size clip holding the plate weights for the leg extension. No biggie really since you can get them at the sports stores for under 5 bucks.

I bought this for Christmas for the whole family. We have a Bayou Fitness Power Pro glide board that will do an amazing number of exercises but it does fall short in a couple of areas. This bench covers those gaps for us, leg extensions & hamstring curls. The preacher curl is a nice addition for our home gym too. It''s a different feel from the glide board and very smooth.

I also bought a pair of 50 lb Power Block adjustable dumbbells to use with the bench and the combination works great. The bench is smooth and easy to adjust. The width is just right to support your back without being so wide that it interferes with movement. The padding seems stiff enough for good support. The frame seems plenty sturdy enough for me at 220 lbs. And the vinyl covering appears appropriately tough for the intended use. The adjustable dumbbells are great with the preacher curl too, providing lots of adjustability.

As far as assembly, this is the most impressive "assembly required" product I''ve encountered in a long time. The fasteners were all organized on a sheet of cardboard which was printed with number codes that corresponded to the instruction sheet. Then, all the fasteners were vacuum sealed to the cardboard with a sheet of plastic. Everything fit together easily. No parts were missing. And the directions were easy to understand. My two sons and I took our time on Christmas morning and we were done in about an hour. Not much is required in the way of tools.

Buy XMark XM-4419 FID Flat Incline Decline Weight Bench Now

I was very pleased with my purchase. The XMark xm-4419 is as described and it''s worth the money (compared with the other fancy over-priced brands), solid, roomy, and comfortable. The bench is a regular size gym bench, you won''t feel like you are gonna fall off of it, the pads are wide enough to cover all your back and butt(even if you are tall and big, but not over 6''4") when you sit and exercise, it will hold your weight, you won''t feel like you are gonna break the bench. The preacher curl is wide enough to place both your arms on it using the attachment or using dumbbells for one arm curl. The leg extension is comfortable to use as well as leg curls. Your money will be worth it for the price, for you get to do many exercises using this bench.

The bench came in packed very well, it was double packed to insure it from getting damaged during shipping (it is heavy 80lbs, the UPS dude wasn''t happy about that, they delivered it with attitudes, very unprofessional). The materials and tools are solid and sturdy, however, your will need extra tools (it should have been included, but they were not) in order to assemble it yourself: 17mm and 14mm Wrench. Also, you will need to rely on the illustrations in the "owner''s manual" in order to assemble the parts, they are not numbered, the manual has them numbered but the actual parts are not. So, you will have to rely on the diagrams in the manual to assemble the bench. There was one minor defect that I was able to fix it: "lower back pad (16)" one of the screw fitting on the back of the pad was crooked.

Finally, I would give it 4 stars for the above mentioned reason, other than that it is worth the money. Good job X-mark fitness for this product.

I haven''t put it to the full test yet but after putting it together it seems like a great deal for what you get. I''ll follow up as time wears on only if I have any issues. Seems very sturdy and extremely adjustable. I like the row capability that isn''t mentioned using the curl/leg bar. I only had to tap-in one piece with a hammer that didn''t want to fit but it did fine. The pull-pin assembly was pre-installed but seems really weak. Like it''s made out of the weakest metal on the planet. I hope it holds up after 100 pulls. It does "lock" into place when screwed. The roll pads need a sleeve so they don''t grind the paint off. The leg carriage bolt shaft should be longer and less threads so the bearing will be fully seated shaft-to-sleeve. The seat pad seems sufficient and are made of real plywood, not sure how thick. I did have to glance at the instructions several times to understand the connections and it took about 1.5 hours going slow I''d guess. I did leave out the washers on the seat pads and had to go back and install them. You will need them because the screws will pull through the holes. I was concerned about some small tack welds I saw and several plates are really thin. Seems like for $10 more dollars these could have been double the thickness. The bulk of the construction is heavy duty so I don''t understand the few compromises but I''m an engineer by trade so I look for this kind of stuff. We''ll see how durable those weak points are in the long run. I didn''t see anything on the market that came close to the features on this bench for the value. If the few concerns of mine are diminished then this will have been a fantastic purchase. I''m not going real heavy anyhow so I may not truly put it to the test. After a full workout or 2 I''ll let you know.

So far I really love this bench! A lot of parts to put together but it wasn''t very hard and once everything is bolted up, this thing is solid! I have no doubts about the stability of this bench. It does everything I want to do. For the price I paid I am totally happy with this purchase.

Fitness Master X Series Momentum Indoor Cycling Bike

Fitness Master X Series Momentum Indoor Cycling BikeMy title pretty much sums it up, but let me dig into a few more details for you dear reader.

This spin bike is everything I was looking for. It is the equivalent of the spin bikes at the gym I used to be a member of. Those were Lemond bikes, though not the latest models, but still very nice ones and very pricey!

I''m 6''1" with a long torso and this bike has all of the adjustments that I need. I was looking at the less expensive spin bikes here on Amazon, but the one thing they lacked was the ability to adjust the handlebars fore/aft. That was an option I wasn''t willing to do without, so I reluctantly paid more. I wasn''t sure if the bike would be up to par and there were no dealers nearby that I could try before buying. Knowing Amazon has an excellent return policy, I took a chance on this one after much online research and comparison.

The belt drive is smooth and quiet! The seat is comfortable to me, but I''m a former road racer. It''s a personal item and can easily be changed out for another seat since it uses a standard mount. Also, the pedals are standard bike pedals, so they can be changed out to whatever you prefer. The ones that came with it have clips/straps on one side if you don''t have or care to use cleated shoes. The other side are SPD cleat ready and the cleats are included! You will need shoes that can accommodate SPD cleats if you decide to use them and there are several models and styles to choose from here on Amazon or your preferred bike accessory dealer.

The handlebars are quite nice with multiple styles for different riding positions. Time trial, Triathlon, etc. You can also hold on to the top bar as you would find on a traditional bike. It is only missing the drop style (road bike). They are covered with a foam padding which is sufficient. I also wear padded cycling gloves and am comfortable, though I may wrap the bars with an even more comfortable handlebar tape.

I like the heavier 44lb flywheel which is perfectly balanced. This provides a smooth pedal stroke and feel to the "ride."

The entire bike is very stable and has a very solid feel. There is no movement or rocking even with out of the saddle hard peddling.

The wheels on the front crossbar are helpful for moving the bike around for a short distance. They are as adequate as I''ve seen on other spin bikes costing more.

Assembly was very easy, though the instructions need to be updated. Parts had been changed, but were not reflected in the manual. Actually it went together easier and quicker than the way the instructions were written. But, it is easy to figure out on your own.

The water bottle cage and water bottle are a nice touch. I would have added a universal one, but this one attaches to the already threaded down tube.

The tension adjustment is smooth and uses dual pads against the flywheel. I have found there is plenty of adjustment range.

Finally, this bike gets good marks for overall appearance. In my opinion, it looks as good as any spin bike you would find in any gym yet it cost much less.

I used to spin at a local gym and loved doing so. I''m glad I know have the option to do so at home whenever time allows.

My buying experience with Amazon was as good as always. I ordered it on a Friday afternoon selecting Super Saver Shipping and it was delivered by the following Wednesday. This was also a holiday weekend (Memorial Day). I''m impressed!

In short it''s a very nice bike. Even when the average American stops using their exercise equipment a few months later the scrap value on this thing will probably fetch half it''s price back if not more. That is also a con. This thing weighs almost 150 lbs and is solid metal which makes it difficult to move unless you have some muscle on you. There are front wheels for rolling it around on the front (lifting the back) but it''s still a lift. It will take 2 people upon delivery to get it around the house especially if stairs are in the path. The seat isn''t the most comfortable thing on this bike. It''s not bad, but sitting there for 30 minutes is really gonna start to hurt. Foot pedals are awesome. They have very nice straps on them you do need to wear shoes with this bike. I have what looks like wrestling shoes that work fantastic. Assembly is pretty easy with only 6 steps for completion, tools are included to put it together.

It comes with no electronic monitors so your speed, time, distance travelled or calories burned is up in the air. You could probably easily buy a monitor to attach so that isn''t a biggie to me.

I scored mine for 550.00 on here with free shipping. Would I do it again... well that seat does really hurt after awhile but probably because I have to say for the price I really do have a great bike that does work very nicely.

I have had this item for just a few weeks, and surprisingly as I went to write this I see the price has jumped considerably from the $585 w/free shipping that I paid in October what''s the deal with that? Just had to mention that, I''m really surprised to see such a jump in price.

The bike arrived via ABF freight, they called ahead and were very easy to deal with, helped me get the bike into the garage. That evening I assembled it. The hardest part was getting the thing out of the box, doing this with a helper would have been easier. There were no hard steps, though the hardware changed slightly from the included instructions, it was all self-explanatory. One note, there is nothing that comes other than an assembly and parts manual and a registration card no CD/DVD, no instructions on care/maintenance, or anything else, a bit surprising for a large purchase.

I have never had a spin bike before, but I did have a Schwinn magnetic resistance recumbent bike. I used the Schwinn for about a year, then the computer went on the fritz. For the next two years I have done without a bike, relying in a Total Trainer DLX III home gym, which I bought directly from the manufacturer (Bayou Fitness) and this item is also available from Amazon, I will probably write a review for it too, it''s really a fantastic home gym.

I wanted something that would not break down like the Schwinn nothing to plug in, no computer, nada. After researching spin bikes for about a week I finally chose this one, price and reviews seemed very good. I''m very happy with my selection.

This is a very stable, heavy piece of equipment, which is a good thing. I''m impressed by the fact that I can really stand up and ride this hard with no fear of it tipping, sliding, moving. I currently mass about 185, and it easily seems like it could take even a much heavier or taller rider.

Adjusting the seats and handlebars would be my only thing to comment about negatively. They adjust perfectly for me, but there could be others that might have a small issue. The way that the adjustable screw handle/lever works, it can be interfered with if the seat or bars are too close to the structural members of the bike. The should have used a lever that slides through so it could be turned, slid, and turned again. Maybe they will read this and change the design, but I''m sure that''s not very likely.

I really like the design of the handlebars, the pedals grip well with their straps, the hand brake works if you need it, and overall the bike also has a very pleasing look you can see a couple of photos of mine in the review.

I cannot compare this with another spin bike since I never have ridden one, but I cannot imagine why spending $1,000 or more would get you anything better. The flywheel is heavy and well balanced, it rides smoothly and quietly, and the protection over the belt if fantastic.

Overall 4 1/2 to 5 stars, a really super purchase.

I''ve owned this bike for 1 year. When it was relatively new it worked like a charm and gave me some serious workouts. The frame is extremely heavy which allows you to turn up the tension and really lean into the rides.

Unfortunately this beast doesn''t age well at all. First problem you WILL encounter is with the nut that is used in the tension adjuster. That nut constantly wears out and needs to be changed constantly. You can buy a whole bunch of the nuts at home depot for pennies but they are a pain in the butt to change and you need to have tools on hand in order to change it.

Second problem you WILL encounter is that the belt that is used to drive the wheel. this bike doesn''t use a chain. this allows it to operate very silently but the belt will eventually wear out in about a year. If you think changing the nut is hard then be prepared for some serious pain when it''s time to change the belt. You will have to take off the belt guard and will need to remove the big flywheel in order to install the new belt. You''re looking at a dirty one hour job minimum if you''re a big strong person who is good at fixing things. To top that all off the company that sells this doesn''t carry the replacement belt. I called them for a replacement and they told me i would have to wait for 2 months on back-order!!!

There''s a reason why the warranty is only one year on the parts and 5 years on the frame. It''s because the frame is the only part of the bike that is built to last. Customer service is basically an answering machine and they don''t return calls so good luck with that.

Summary: The bike will give you awesome workouts when it''s working properly but it doesn''t age well. Only buy this one if you like fixing stuff.

I''ve never owned, or even used, an exercise bike of this type, so I don''t really have anything to compare it to quality wise. I wanted a bike and it was suggested to me that the spinner was the way to go, so I decided to try one. I will say this....it''s extremely easy to adjust for just about any size person. The seat adjusts forward or back, up or down, and the handle bar adjusts as well. I did change out the seat because the one that came on the bike is just not comfortable for me. The bike is heavy, so there isn''t any rocking or wobbling while riding regardless of how fast you ride. I''ve had to reposition it a couple of times, and the wheels on the front make that pretty easy as long as it''s a straight shot. I don''t think I could move it a long way, around corners and such, by myself. To keep up with distance, calories burned, heart rate and time just wear a heart rate monitor. No need to buy the kind that attaches to the bike, because then you couldn''t use it for other types of exercise. The fact that this bike isn''t electric, and doesn''t have the monitor on the front is a plus....don''t have to worry about power outages/surges or the electronics going on the blink. I''ve always gone by the rule that the more electronics involved, the more problems later! I purchased a couple of DVD''s to follow, and have really enjoyed using this bike all the more because of them. Quality wise, I''d have to say this is definitly a great bike, and I don''t think I could have done better for the money.

Timex Ironman Men''s Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black/Grey)

Timex Ironman Men''s Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch, Black/Grey, Full SizeI''ve been using a Polar F11 for years now, and I''ve stuck with it despite the difficulty in changing the battery and in navigating its menus because Polar came out with the fabric chest straps a while ago, and they are great. However, the battery died recently, and the thought of hassling with the battery change yet again was so discouraging that I researched other HRMs and bought this Timex. I have used Ironman watches for a few years and have been so happy with them that the Ironman HRM seemed promising. After a few uses, I''m quite happy with the purchase. A few nice aspects: the data is much easier to read than on my Polar. You can make your HR, HR percent, elapsed time, or time dominant and quite large while still having the other data displayed. The Illuminight works well. The watch is pretty good-looking (whereas the Polar was pretty ugly. Polar''s facelift of the higher end models in the last year or two hasn''t helped much in my opinion). The menus are much more intuitive than Polar''s. The chest strap, while less comfortable than Polar''s fabric one, is fine. The ventilated band breathes well. I haven''t tried changing the batteries yet, but it has to be far easier than with the Polar, which is a bad joke. I also love the count-down timer, which I use to time my resting periods while lifting weights. On the negative side, the Polar would blink and/or beep when your HR was out of your prescribed range. I know my zone 3 numbers, so it''s not a big deal. The main negative is the band. If it breaks (as one of my Ironmans did), you have to replace the whole watch. It''s integrated into the watch body. I plan to be gentle in taking it off and on in order to reduce wear and tear. My old Ironman broke at the point where the band would get folded back when inserting the buckle''s tab. Also, if you are a data freak, my understanding is that Polar''s ability to download, etc. is better. I''m into knowing my numbers while on the bike and after the workout, but I don''t keep records, so I can''t speak to that feature. Overall, A-.

As all the reviews state, this watch/HR chest strap are superior to Polar''s simply because you can do the battery replacement yourself. All the features are intuitive on the watch and it has a number of ways to monitor your workout sessions. The biggest drawback is the watch band. It is NOT replaceable. It doesn''t have the pins on the top and bottom that are interchangeable with another band type. It is molded as one piece and if the strap wears out, your out a $80 plus watch. I really enjoyed using it for 1 yr and 8 months before the strap on one end broke. I am trying to see if replacing the watch band at Timex is worth it or not. They won''t quote any prices so you have to send it in and see. I will update when I find out more.

***Update 3-4-2012***

Sorry for taking so long to update this. But to answer many queries I ended up sending in the watch to the Timex repair center: TG Service Center

P.O. Box 2740, Little Rock, AR 72203. I sent in the watch and 2 weeks later received my serviced watch but found that they had sent back the broken watch (because you can''t replace the strap), a refurbished replacement and a bill for only $10. This looked like a great deal but I knew the replacement was a refurb because the indiglo light didn''t work. Rather than having to deal with the hassle of sending it back I just dealt with it. Now, the strap has broken...again in the same area (see pic). Why not use a stronger grade material than this fragile rubber? The conclusion, if Timex still repairs this watch, I will probably do it instead of shelling out $120 for a new one. But in hindsight, this was a poorly made watch and should not be on your short decision list.

Just got my 2nd Timex heart rate monitor. I decided to by this latest model since I was really satisfied with the old one. With the new design of the wrist strap, I hope it will last since the old one was not that robust (became brittle after 2 years). By the way, to those who plan to buy this product with the intent to download performance data to the computer, make sure that the product title includes "WITH DATA XCHANGER" or see if the model# is T5K263 not T5K217.... you don''t want to commit the same mistake I did.

This is my first HRM watch, so I cannot compare it to any other similar products out there except for what I''ve researched on-line and seen in stores. That being said, it does everything you might expect from a device of this nature (perhaps a bit more) and it does it extremely well. I''ve been using it for about 3 months now, exclusively for spinning.

Since you can easily read what the watch offers to do, I''ll try to limit this review on how well it has worked for me during workouts and what you could expect from its use.

THE WATCH ITSELF: To begin with, it''s a great digital watch with basic features like multiple alarms, indiglo backlight and a chronograph. The display is quite large, showing the time and date very clearly, but the watch itself is compact and surprisingly light in weight. I find the large display to be very practical during exercise because you can easily see both your heart rate and/or time of day and/or time left in your workout and/or elapsed time, or any combination of any two of them, depending on how you set it up (easily changed with the push of a button).

The wristband''s web-like design makes it very comfortable to wear when you''re working up a sweat but, as someone here mentioned before, if the band breaks for any reason then you''re out of luck because it''s integrated directly into the time piece. In the watch''s defense, I believe you would really have to give it a lot of use, and maybe some abuse, for it to break. The wristband (as well as the watch itself) seems to be of good quality; it isn''t weak, cheap or flimsy at all.

THE HEART RATE MONITOR: As for the heart rate monitor feature, it is great. A little bit of water on the back of the heart rate digital sensor and it''s good to go. Set-up is very simple, even if you don''t read the instruction manual, although some people might find it necessary to read for certain features like programming intervals. Changing the battery on the sensor is extremely simple and inexpensive (it uses one of those flat circular batteries found in watches).

The sensor picks up the heart rate very well and I haven''t had it lose any data during a workout since I began using it. Now, there was one exception, I did lose data but it is something more attributable to human body physiognomy than the watch. Since no one''s body is perfectly flat (especially in the bottom chest area where the sensor goes), depending on the contours of your body, finding that sweet spot where the sensor will optimally detect your heart beat could be a little tricky in the beginning but once you do it works fine.

Personally, I found that "slouching" while spinning resulted in data loss because the sensor would not be touching my body completely, but this would be my fault for two reasons: first, I can easily maintain a more proper posture during my workout and, second, I have a small indentation where my chest muscles meet the top part of my ribcage (if you workout with weights a lot, you probably know what I''m talking about), so because of the shape of my body it''s really up to me to make sure I don''t remain hunched over... at least until they come up with a sensor that isn''t completely flat, perhaps a bit more curved or "ergonomic" in its design. Like I said, it''s an individual thing, but perhaps something to consider depending on the activity you''ll use it for. Besides, you would expect this from any heart rate sensor (they''re all basically the same in construct from what I''ve seen in stores researching different HRM watches).

The watch can be programmed to sound an alert when you''re out of your heart rate zone; an audible alarm easily switched on or off during your workout (it even beeps differently depending on if you need to pick up the pace or slow down, so you don''t have to look at the watch to know what it''s trying to tell you). There are 6 heart rate zones to choose from (which you can also change at any moment during your workout) -viewed as percentage or beats per minute, depending on what you select-. All of the information is stored and viewable afterwards, including calories burned.

It also has a recovery feature that lets you measure your heart rate while you cool down. You can choose 30 seconds, 1, 2, 5 or 10 minutes and it starts automatically when you finish your workout (automatically only when using the chronograph. It doesn''t start automatically when using the count-down timer or the interval timer more on that later).

My favorite feature is the interval timer (and the primary reason I bought this model). It''s also one of the reasons I took away one star in this review. Don''t get me wrong, the interval timer is amazing! You can program the watch to measure different heart rate zones during specific times or laps that you choose and it can be programmed to repeat your selection many times over. Here''s my personal issue with this feature: I don''t understand why they didn''t design it to only repeat the intervals you tell it to? The watch actually asks you how many times you want to repeat each interval but it doesn''t do it... it repeats the whole workout from the first interval.

Let me explain: for example, I programmed interval one to keep me in "Heart Rate Zone 1 (50% 60% of my heart rate)" for ten minutes. It asked me how many times I want it to repeat this interval, I chose once. That''s my warm-up time.

After that, I programmed interval two to measure me for "Heart Rate Zone 2 (60% 70%)" for two minutes. It asked me how many times I want it to repeat this interval, I chose five times. This is my regular workout time in between sprints.

I programmed interval three for "Heart Rate Zone 3 (70% 80%)" for one minute. It asked me how many times I want it to repeat this interval and I chose five times because I want it to coincide with the two minutes chosen earlier. This is my sprint time.

You would think the watch would begin with a 10 minute interval once, do 2 minute by 1 minute intervals five times over and that''s it, but no, it includes the first 10 minute interval five times as well... so what you get is 10 minutes (zone 1), 2 minutes (zone 2), 1 minute (zone 3), 10 minutes again, 2 minutes, 1 minute, 10 minutes again, etc. until the five intervals are up. Granted, the user manual specifically says on page 28 that "The repeat setting applies to the entire group of settings; you cannot have the Interval Timer repeat twice for INT 1 and only once for INT 2", but I didn''t read the instruction manual until I had it in my hands after buying the watch.

NOTE* Another reason I took off that one star from this review is that in "INTERVAL" or "TIMER" (it''s a count down timer) mode, you have to manually go to the "RECOVERY" screen, have it already set-up, reset and ready before pressing "START" for the cool down to begin. It does not begin automatically after your programmed workout has finished. If the watch knows you''re finished (that''s why you programmed the watch to workout during a specified time), why not begin the recovery automatically once the programmed workout is over?

No big deal either way, just an observation of something I believe can be easily fixed or included by the people who design those features. Hopefully TIMEX will take note.

PRICE: From every other watch I researched before buying this one, not one of them came close to having as many features or had such a clear and practical display. Any that do offer as many functions usually have some but not all and if they do, they are way more expensive.

CONCLUSION: The minor issues mentioned are in no way a deal breaker and I haven''t had any problems with the watch whatsoever, it has worked fine since day one (no buttons sticking or being easily pressed by accident, the heart rate sensor worked well out of the box, etc.). I would highly recommend this watch to anyone and for the price you can''t go wrong. I bought this model for myself and the smaller mid-size (female) version as a gift. I''ve been told that the other watch is working great as well.

Want Timex Ironman Men''s Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black/Grey) Discount?

Purchased one of these guys (w/o the USB data transfer device) about a month ago and am really loving it. It''s very easy to use, accurate, and really helps you make sure you''re working in the zones that you intend. I use it for doing HIIT intervals and it''s great...and fun as well to see how your body adapts and becomes more fit over time. This watch has all the basic features and the fact that you don''t have to send the chest belt back to the factory to change the battery (like you do with the Polar watches) is a plus. The only two things that I would like a bit different that warrant 4 stars, instead of 5, are that the buttons are not always as smooth as I''d like and tend to grab a bit. Also, I wish the watch just had a straight stopwatch in addition to the chronograph. Overall, a good HRM though.

Max Fitness 65cm Exercise Ball with Foot Pump (Pearl White)

Max Fitness 65cm Exercise Ball with Foot PumpI train people for a living and have sent all of my clients to this seller for their exercise balls. Being one that works with different sized people on a daily basis on the Max Fitness balls, I can tell you that they provide a great product and they are very fast to get it to my clients. I own one myself. Thanks for the great product and service.

I ordered this ball because I didn''t like the bright colors at my local stores. I wanted something neutral that wouldn''t stick out like a sore thumb in my home. The shipping from Max Ltd. was super fast and the ball was pretty quick and easy to inflate.

I actually bought this as a "birth ball". I''m 8 months pregnant and sitting on the ball helps relieve back pain/pressure, hip rocks feel great on it. Gently bouncing on it has gotten my baby down into position! I''ll be using the ball during labor and after I have my baby. Babies love to be bounced on it and it''s a comfortable seat to nurse on. I''ll also be using it a few months after the birth to work out on and drop my pregnancy weight.

I first started using excercising balls at the gym, and loved it. I went and bought one.. and for some reason, it just wasn''t the same. A girlfriend of mine also got me one, and again.. just not what I was used to.. then I ordered this one, and it was exactly like the one I used at the gym.. and cheaper than the other ones I had. SO, I highly recommend this. Read the directions and do do another round of air the next day.. its perfect.

I do not like this exercise ball. This ball has a sticky texture and not in a good way. Wherever it touches the wall, it takes off the paint. The paint sticks to ball and becomes one with it. You can not get it off. The wall needs painted because of the exercise ball. I do not recommend this item.

CycleOps Indoor Bicycle Trainer Carrying Bag

CycleOps Indoor Bicycle Trainer Carrying BagCan''t live without this bag. Lugging the bike, trainer, block, shoes, and other gear around is a nightmare. Get this bag and save yourself some grief! My bag fits my Cycle Ops Trainer, my climbing block, my shoes and a towel. It also has pockets on the inside for little things like your bike computer, etc. I don''t actually use them, but I like to know that they are there.

The strap is a little sketch, so I took a star off for that. It could really be made a little more comfortable because you are resting a significant amount of weight on one shoulder. I will warn you that this bag does not make the trainer any less bulky or awkward.

All-in-all, though, if you are going to be taking your trainer anywhere, you I really recommend this bag. It just makes life a lot easier.

Great product. Works just as advertised. I popped my fluid trainer in the bag and had room enough left over for two wheel blocks, 2 pairs of shoes, a couple of towels, my Garmin GPS and who knows what else. After I put all that in the bag there was still room leftover. With the shoulder strap I can carry all my gear, my bike and still be able to open the door at the bike shop for spin class.

The bag looks to be well made to hold up for several years. Good thing as it does appear to be a bit pricey. Of course saving a trip or two to the car to collect all my gear does make it worth it.

Recently bought a CycleOps trainer and block for my off-season triathlon training. As I participate in a gym-based training group, I had been lugging the bike, trainer, block, and gym bag loaded with multi-sport gear separately. Now I throw it all into this bag (including the block!) and saunter in with the bike. The envy of all my training buddies. Although I think it may seem a bit pricey it is worth the money!!

Rubberbanditz Pull Up / Crossfit Band Set - Heavy, Robust Bands (#3 & #4)

Rubberbanditz Pull Up / Crossfit Band Set - Heavy, Robust BandsThese bands work really well. I have a herniated C6-7 disc in my neck I am re-habbing so It feels uncomfortable to do a pull-up. These bands help take some of the weight off and allows me to keep good form....I have looked online and discovered other numerous ways these bands can be used....I would definitely recommend this product.

These work well and help me do more pull-ups. They seem to be a useful training tool and are easy to use.

I do a rather fair bit of traveling and these bands help me stay in shape as well as help me stretch out my muscles.

++ Durability

+ Resistance given

+ Construction

Nothing''s perfect (hard edges)

I use these bands to either warm up or stretch out my muscles when I have access to a gym. When I don''t have a gym around, I use them for a body weight/cardio with resistance workout. I''ve seen people use them to tie kettle bells to barbells, assist with their pull-ups and wrap around their buddies while they do sprints. They are versatile and can hot some stabilizer muscles.

The only complaint I have is that the edge of the rubber tends to be hard, but this is more to do with the makeup of the material than ''aging'' that rubber tends to get. This is a very minor complaint.

Badger 4116 BD Ldy B-Dry Core Short

Badger Sportswear Women''s Workout Eastic Waist Short, Black, X-LargeThese shorts are the kind you would probably want to wear over some spandex type shorts, they are super thin material and run very small. I order everything in a medium for bottoms and have no issues usually, these are closer to a small or extra small. I gave them to my friends 10 year old and they fit her (tiny!). I like these for running and like them to be comfortable so since they have a draw string I probably would have liked the fit of an extra large but will not order any more because of how thin the material is (you would be able to see underwear lines big time!) So if you like the light type of material then I would at go at least a size above normal if not two sizes.

Didnt like them personally, but maybe they will work for you. I returned them. Quality was fine, just didnt like them.

Shipping was extremely prompt, however the box was torn in several places (that''s Fed-Ex for ya) but their was no damage or missing parts. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to improve on a more dynamic workout and increased muscle gain, without a decrease in your wallets. A+++ to IncrediBody & Yukon for such a well built machine, at a cost much lower than the competition.

I bought this model because I have a Yukon brand Half Cage which is very sturdy and I have limited space for another machine. It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. Some of the more expensive machines might have more options but this one serves our purpose very well.

It fits easily under an 8'' ceiling. All the exercises are done from the same side so it can be set against a wall.

The pulleys turn smoothly and the weights travel easily up and down the chrome pole. The plastic sleeve does not bind. The seat has a three setting height adjustment. The knee bar also has three height settings but you must pull the pad off one side and reposition the bar and then put the pad back on. Only really an issue if you are sharing the machine. The arms that hold the weights are sized for standard sized weights, not Olympics but spring clips are included. The lat and rowing bar can be stored clipped to the body of the machine so two less items on the floor.

It''s a simple, basic machine that should last a long time.

Didn''t take long to put together and it easily fits under an 8'' ceiling. If you have olympic weights, I would recommend buying olympic adapter sleeves so that your weights don''t shake and move around. I got some 14" ones so I can also add more weight too! Buying some other attachments with different types of grips for rowing and doing other exercises is highly recommended as well. I ordered a tricep rope, a single and a double rowing handle for mine.

I do have a couple complaints:

A square piece that more securely holds the seat post in place was missing...it was supposed to be pre-installed and it wasn''t anywhere in the box (already contacted Yukon about that...)

On the cable that runs from the lat pull down to the row pulley, there is a stupid washer that roams free on the cable! On the upper cable it is fine because it stays in place but on this row cable, it gets jammed in the row pulley! I unfortunately found this out the hard way and the washer jammed in the row pulley and proceeded to strip the row cable of it''s lining! I don''t see why that washer is even on the cable in the first place...I have duct taped it to the rubber ball on the end of the cable so that it doesn''t go anywhere. I will eventually just cut it off.

All in all, it is a great lat machine and I look forward to using it!

This machine was inexpensive compared to other lat machines I was eying up. When it arrived at my front door I honestly wasn''t expecting much. Aside from the box looking like it went through a war, the item was packed well and nothing was scratched or damaged. It took about 2 hours to put together while watching Family Guy and really wasn''t difficult at all. Once it was together i put the machine to the test by adding weights. I was really shocked to discover the pulleys and cable system was sturdy and smooth. It almost felt like a machine a would find in the gym.

Alright first I''ll address the issues that have come up in other people''s reviews. I''m a bit more mechanically oriented than some, so maybe this will help some people out. If you have a washer sliding around on the cable, it''s because you have the cable backwards. Seriously. Just push the ball to the other side of the cable, and TADAAAA!!! The washer is now trapped between the eyelet and the ball as it is supposed to be.

If the plate is hanging up on the vertical tower, (the one the weight goes up and down on) it''s because you didn''t install, or took off the two bumpers that are meant to keep your plates from hanging up on there. I''ve put every single relevant Olympic weight as the innermost weight (45, 35, 25, 10, 5) and none of them came any where near hanging up.

Now I do have 1 small gripe. The tower has hooks built in to carry the WG Lat Bar and the shorter straight bar. I was doing a CG row and had the WG Lat Bar hanging up, and the 45lb weights got caught on the lat bar as it was hanging there. The weights got totally stuck on it and I had to do some pretty careful finagling to get it to come off without letting all of the weights come crashing down. I solved this problem by not putting the lat bar in the provided hooks which worked 100%.

So, the thick and thin of it is,

1.) This is a great lat machine, probably the best you''ll see for the money

2.) The machine runs well and any problem I''ve heard of about it so far is an end user error.

Cap Barbell Leather Ankle Strap

Cap Barbell Leather Ankle StrapAfter getting sore ankles from the cheap neoprene type straps I finally invested in a pair of Cap ankle straps. They are very sturdy and the leather is very thick and stiff. They stay in place on your ankle and the rigidity of them keeps them from pulling and pinching your skin. The padding is like a synthetic wool so they are nicely padded for extra comfort and stability. The color varies from the photo, mine were light tan with vanilla fuzzy padding. I highly recommend you give these a good few coats of mink oil to soften them up and moisture proof the leather. They get easier to put on after many uses as the thick leather softens a bit. They are most comfortable if you put them on with the strap going around the outside of your ankle with the buckle to the inside. They are challenging to get unbuckled for the first several uses but gets easier the more you use them. Very durable product and very fast shipping. Expensive but worth the price!

Just for accuracy sake, when you purchase this you get ONE ankle strap. You are NOT purchasing a pair (2) of ankle straps. All you need is one. And this one is great.

It fits around my ankle which is a normal size for my height 5'' 8". It is padded very well so it never digs into my skin. It is very durable and sturdy.

I purchased it because my gym does not have these. Perhaps for sanitary reasons, I don''t know. But I needed to enhance my workouts on the cable machines and without this I can''t do abductors (out) or adductors (in). Yes they have the machine where you can sit and do this but I like to vary how I work body parts.

If you purchase this, I think you will be very satisfied. I will post some pictures a little later so those who might be wondering about the size have a better idea. This is a high quality product.

This ankle strap is awesome, giving me the confidence I needed when lifting 50 Lbs. or more with my legs. I work out at the Plano Carpenter Rec. center and they just have Velcro straps, mine was always coming off and the weights crashing down. Made me look foolish, NOT anymore.
